Don’t Miss These Indianapolis Networking Events

Aug 21st, 2017 Updates

One of the greatest scientists of our time (Bill Nye) once said, "Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't." If that's not a good reason to network, I don't know what is. Keep an eye out for these upcoming networking opportunities in Indianapolis and we'll see you there!

Creative Mornings Lecture Series

August 25, 8:30am-10am, Central Library Indianapolis
Occurs Monthly
FREE

“Everyone is creative. Everyone is welcome.” These are the bookends of the Creative Mornings manifesto they maintain as chapters across the world meet for lectures that appeal to the creative community. You don’t have to be a designer or an artist to find relevancy or enjoyment in these free monthly talks. The Indy Creative Mornings chapter meets in community centered spots like The Central Library, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, and the IMA. Get there a little early to have donuts and coffee from local bakeries and coffee shops and chat with other community members interested in perpetuating the idea that everyone is creative and everyone is welcome. You must pre-register and it fills up quickly, so we suggest signing up for the newsletter to receive an alert when registration opens the week of the event. If you join the waitlist, chances are that a spot will open up.

Check out some of the past talks- one of our recent favorites was Kiel Majewski. See you there!

1 Million Cups

Aug 30th 8am, Speak Easy- Broadripple
Every Wednesday morning, locations TBA

This weekly event allows entrepreneurs to give a 6-minute presentation about their early stage business and then give attendees a chance to ask questions and converse about business challenges and solutions. You don’t need to be a business owner to attend- everyone is welcome to come connect with the community and support local business owners. If you’re in the beginning stages of starting a business- consider giving a presentation. It’s a great way to engage with the Indianapolis community. Kicks Digital Marketing was a proud presenter and we love being able to stay up to speed with Indy start-ups.

Coworking spaces are popping up around the city and are a great resource for budding businesses and professionals ready to get involved in the professional community. Venues like The Hatch and Speakeasy offer working environments for small businesses, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and other professionals looking to be surrounded by the like and get stuff done! They also host a slew of events directed toward promoting small business- so follow these venues to stay up to date with what’s happening and get involved!

The Hatch

A group of creatives developed this space in Broadripple with a mission of inclusiveness, touting that nearly half of their members are female and while it’s a tech-friendly space, only a third of members are traditional tech companies. With an open, bright environment, raised garage doors, an art studio, and Tinker coffee flowing- they’re fostering productivity and creativity.
